George’s Blog

You’ve found my new blog page –  However, I am not new to blogging…

The Yeomans Blog

As a storyteller, “blogging” is right up my street.  I started The Yeoman’s blog several years ago with the overriding caveat that I just wanted people to share their views openly, constructively, and positively.  Nobody is ever right all the time and everybody has the right to hold a view; my aim is to pick up on the things that really matter to our society, and to try and help to get to the best possible solution.  People will often disagree and that’s a good, healthy thing in any democracy, but I draw the line at unnecessary rudeness, foul language, or bullying of any kind; if it occurs I will have no hesitation in blocking the guilty party for life.

I desperately want to hear the views of others, and look forward to some scintillating exchanges but please let such exchanges be driven by intellectual views and discussion.  We all have a voice and your opinion matters, let’s hear it…

Build Back Better
Build Back Better

As the UK Government trumpeted the plan to establish a number of Free Ports across the country as a leading edge component of their master plan to level up, I was enthused. Not just because I had started my business in the COVID era, which was pretty challenging in...

Politics – A Very Nasty Business
Politics – A Very Nasty Business

I find it quite nauseous to watch the frenzied scramble of opposition politicians and the worthless breakfast TV press as they salivate at the prospect of Boris Johnson’s self created nightmare. “Why”, I hear many shout in anger, “he is guilty of lying to Parliament...

Harry – From Hero To Zero
Harry – From Hero To Zero

All my friends know how important maintaining the UK is to me, and my pride in being British. As a Highland Scot I have written several blogs on my opinion of Nicola Sturgeon and the damage she and her party are doing to Scotland, and to what I have always believed to...

What Price Freedom Day?
What Price Freedom Day?

I wrote this post yesterday, but didn’t post it for various reasons. However, I am delighted to be proven wrong in regard to my point on the Government and PM not showing courage and true leadership; they have done exactly that and I applaud them for it. My original...

Surprised? – You Must Be Joking

I can hardly believe the recent furore over the news that David Cameron and other ex-MP’s have been accused of lobbying former colleagues. It’s neither new nor illegal, given the rules are followed and yes, such rules actually exist; in fact they were largely written...

Real Life Angels

I have been extremely lucky throughout my life from a health perspective; apart from the odd accident and a few injuries from overzealous physical training. I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes back in 2000, very shortly after leaving the Army, but to be honest I have...

Time for Wee Nippy to Nip Off

As a proud Brit and Highland Scot I am dismayed to see that Nicola Sturgeon has managed to hold on to her position as First Minister of Scotland. For a number of years her ineptitude and self-centred focus has driven me mad, but her ability to avoid any form of...

We Need Entrepreuners
We Need Entrepreuners

When people hear the word “Entrepreneur” they automatically assume that person is a rich individual who has endless pots of cash; that would describe people like Sir Richard Branson, Lord Alan Sugar and several others for that matter, but the vast majority are simply...

Is Impeachment The Only Option
Is Impeachment The Only Option

I wholly accept that President Trump's behaviour is for the US government and people to resolve, but the outcome will surely impact the free world. I referred to Mr Trump as "The Kindergarten President" in a blog back in October of last year and I think he has...
