You’ve found my new blog page – However, I am not new to blogging…

The Yeomans Blog

As a storyteller, “blogging” is right up my street.  I started The Yeoman’s blog several years ago with the overriding caveat that I just wanted people to share their views openly, constructively, and positively.  Nobody is ever right all the time and everybody has the right to hold a view; my aim is to pick up on the things that really matter to our society, and to try and help to get to the best possible solution.  People will often disagree and that’s a good, healthy thing in any democracy, but I draw the line at unnecessary rudeness, foul language, or bullying of any kind; if it occurs I will have no hesitation in blocking the guilty party for life.

I desperately want to hear the views of others, and look forward to some scintillating exchanges but please let such exchanges be driven by intellectual views and discussion.  We all have a voice and your opinion matters, let’s hear it…

Real Life Angels

I have been extremely lucky throughout my life from a health perspective; apart from the odd accident and a few injuries from overzealous physical training. I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes back in 2000, very shortly after leaving the Army, but to be honest I have...

Time for Wee Nippy to Nip Off

As a proud Brit and Highland Scot I am dismayed to see that Nicola Sturgeon has managed to hold on to her position as First Minister of Scotland. For a number of years her ineptitude and self-centred focus has driven me mad, but her ability to avoid any form of...

We Need Entrepreuners

When people hear the word “Entrepreneur” they automatically assume that person is a rich individual who has endless pots of cash; that would describe people like Sir Richard Branson, Lord Alan Sugar and several others for that matter, but the vast majority are simply...

Is Impeachment The Only Option

I wholly accept that President Trump's behaviour is for the US government and people to resolve, but the outcome will surely impact the free world. I referred to Mr Trump as "The Kindergarten President" in a blog back in October of last year and I think he has...

The Cost of a Divided Nation

This has probably been the most challenging year of our lives for everybody under the age of 75. Those of us in that demographic have never lived through a national, or even worse a global threat to mankind, until now. Here in the UK we have lost tens of thousands of...

The Kindergarten President

Watching the first Presidential Election debate really worried me; whilst I expected Donald Trump to behave like a total buffoon, it was the weak, incompetence of Joe Biden that scared me most. He completely missed the opportunity to undermine the most useless...

Snippet From A Long Career

My 45 years in the workplace has been split between two very diverse environments, the first half saw me serve Queen and country in the Army, whilst the last 20 years have been spent as an IT supplier to the Emergency Services (all ”Blue Lights”). I have been truly...

For Auld Lang Syne – United No More

It’s impossible for me to explain how saddened I am by what I am about to say, but it is a simple reflection of reality. The United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland is in its death throes and there is no route to recovery. There it is, I have said it...

Cancer – What A Scary Word

I have just found out that one of my oldest friends is in hospital and has been diagnosed with cancer. We are typical ex-military friends, in that I have probably seen him once or twice in the last 30 years, but when we speak it is like we have never been apart. I see...
